Every 35 mph road
Scenic Gulf Drive through Miramar Beach and Destin. Route 30A from Dune Allen to Inlet Beach. If the sign says 35 or less, you can drive it.

A cart tucks in at the beach access, the dinner spot and the market. No garage, no circling the block.
Your code, your time
Self pickup is open around the clock at 76 N Holiday Rd, next to the Cumberland. Your four digit code arrives by email at 7 AM the day before and by text once the cart is staged.
Brought to your door
Choose your zone above and delivery is built into the price. Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Seagrove and Inlet Beach. Pickup at the end of your trip is included.
Glow lights and a speaker on every one
Electric or gas. Four seats or six. Every cart has LED glow lights, a Bluetooth speaker and a belt at every seat.
Know before you go
Seats
- 4 seat cart
- Two rows, four belted seats. The easy pick for couples and small families.
- 6 seat cart
- Six belted seats with a fold down rear seat. The pick for a full family or a group.
- Belts
- A belt at every seat, and every rider stays seated and belted. No lap riding and no sharing a belt, at any age.
- Children
- Florida law sets the child restraint rule: age 3 or younger needs a separate carrier or integrated child seat, age 4 or 5 needs a carrier, integrated seat or booster. We do not supply or install child restraints.
Battery and charging
- Electric
- Lithium powered. Plug it in every night on a dedicated outlet. Range falls off quickly under 50 percent, so recharge after each outing.
- Return day
- Charge to full and leave it plugged in. Under 90 percent adds a $100 recharge fee.
- Reading the charge
- A round gauge above the glovebox or a percent readout above the steering wheel, depending on the cart. Your cart guide shows which.
- Gas
- The 6 seat gas cart takes 87 unleaded. Prepaid fuel is $18.50. Returning it empty adds a $30 refueling fee.
Lights and belts
- Glow lights
- LED glow lights come on every rental. Change colors with the silver remote, and only while parked.
- Headlights
- Headlights are manual. Switch them on by hand from sunset to sunrise and any time rain, fog or spray cuts visibility.
- Speaker
- A Bluetooth speaker is on every cart. Set your music before you pull away. Phones in hand and earbuds are off limits while the cart moves.
- Street legal gear
- Headlights, taillights, turn signals, side mirrors, a rearview mirror and a belt at every seat.
What to bring
- Driver's license
- Every driver carries a valid state issued license, and every driver is listed and approved on the agreement first.
- Proof of insurance
- Bring the card or a photo of it. Your own auto policy is primary on a rented low speed vehicle.
- Your phone
- The agreement is signed electronically, and the four digit lockbox code arrives by email at 7 AM the day before and by text once the cart is staged.
- Your address
- Delivery bundles are priced by zone: Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, or Seagrove and Inlet Beach.
The rules
- Driver age
- 22 or older for the entire rental.
- Roads
- Public roads posted 35 mph or less. Cross Highway 98 only at a signalized intersection, never travel along it.
- Off limits
- Sidewalks, the beach, sand, bike paths, grass and walking trails.
- Drivers
- Two included. Each additional driver is $15 and is approved online before taking the wheel.
- Phones
- No phone use while the cart is moving, handheld or hands free.

Before you book
Who can drive the cart?
Every driver must be 22 or older for the whole rental, hold a valid state issued driver's license, carry active auto insurance in their own name, and be listed and approved on the rental agreement before taking the wheel. Two drivers are included with every rental. Each added driver is $15.
Where can I drive it?
Any public road posted 35 mph or less. That covers Scenic Gulf Drive through Miramar Beach and Destin, Route 30A through Santa Rosa Beach, and most neighborhood streets. You may cross Highway 98 only at a signalized intersection and never travel along it. Sidewalks, the beach, bike paths and grass are off limits.
Is it really a golf cart?
No. Every Beach Better rental is a titled, plated Florida low speed vehicle (LSV) with a VIN, headlights, turn signals, mirrors and a belt at every seat. A true golf cart has no plate or title and cannot use public streets.
How do pickup and delivery work?
Pick a delivery zone and the delivery is part of the bundle price. We stage the cart before your start date. Prefer to collect it yourself? Self pickup at 76 N Holiday Rd, Miramar Beach, next to the Cumberland, is open around the clock from a code protected lockbox. Your four digit code arrives by email at 7 AM the day before and again by text once the cart is staged, after every driver is approved and the agreement is signed.
How do I charge or fuel it?
Electric: plug it in every night, and on return day charge it to full and leave it plugged in. Coming back under 90 percent adds a $100 recharge fee. Gas: it takes 87 unleaded. Bring it back full, add prepaid fuel for $18.50, or pay a $30 refueling fee if it comes back empty.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations 10 or more days before your start date carry a $50 fee. Cancellations inside 10 days are not refundable, and early returns are not refunded. If we call an early return for a hurricane, tropical storm or other safety event, unused days are refunded pro rata.
Whose insurance covers the cart?
Yours. Under Fla. Stat. 627.7263 the renting driver's own coverage is primary, and many personal auto policies exclude low speed vehicles, so check with your insurer first. Renter's Collision Protection is optional secondary coverage at $39.50 per driver per day with a $500 deductible. It does not replace your own policy.
Can I take it into my HOA or resort?
Some HOAs and resorts do not allow rental carts. Run your address through the neighborhood rules checker on alwaysbeachbetter.com before you book.
